Were super excited to announce that USA orders are back online, along with some edits to international shipping rates to give you the best possible price for your stickers when ordering outside Canada. We also have updates on EU/UK import fees & how we are managing the EUs changes to de minimus imports.
Let me start out with a bit of a personal note, I say "we" a lot as I present this business as a group venture, but it is all managed & operated by one person (Eolis - thats me!). I am very grateful for everyones support as I worked through an extended shop closure to figure out how to rework the store with the new 50% tariffs on USA orders. I am a busy bee & appreciate folks understanding that I am one person who runs a shop with a lot of international orders & things have been a bit hectic in terms of regulations & changes to cross-border shipments these past few years.
Lets get started with USA orders & what you can expect with the new 50% Tariffs:
On August 21st, 2026 the US Admin implemented section 338 tariffs at the maximum fee of 50% across a wide range of Canadian goods traveling to the United States. Importantly, these new tariffs ignore CUSMA documentation; which was being used to reduce tariff fees previously. Vinyl stickers & decals are unfortunately bundled into these tariffs under the automotive section & apply to all vinyl sticker products.
Since de minimus was cancelled between Canada & the USA all orders must be shipped DDP (Delivered Duties Paid) to get into the USA. This means Little Lemur pays all the brokerage, import duties & tariff fees up front when shipping an order & this is why a tariff fee is applied to orders at the time of purchase. The import duties & brokerage are also why shipping costs are a little high. It has become increasingly expensive shipping orders to the USA & a service that supplies brokers needs to be used, which is why shipments use UPS & not a less expensive provider like Canada Post. Due to using UPS & exclusively using express methods with guaranteed delivery times we can ensure your orders arrive in a timely manner & clear customs with the use of their brokers.
To comply with these new regulations we unfortunately need to add a 50% tariff fee to orders traveling to the USA. This fee will be adjusted if the rate changes & removed if the tariffs are removed. We completely understand if this makes orders too expensive & you need to shop elsewhere for the time being, if this is the case we hope you will seek out another furry based producer & continue to support community based business' over the duration of the trade war that is currently in effect.
Next Up: EU Shipping Rates & Import Fees
Among all this data there is some good news for my overseas customers in the form of shipping cost & import fee reductions.
As of July 1st, 2026 the EU has ended de minimus imports. Previously, orders valued at or below €150 entered the country duty free, though VAT was still needing to be paid. The new structure in place is a flat rate of €3 per HTS code in each order, regardless of value.
What this means for you:
In general, due to the high cost of shipping orders over to the EU most customers went over the €150 threshold anyways & had to pay duties to import, so this is actually good news for Little Lemur orders because all stickers sold fall under the same HTS code. As such you will only have a €3 fee to import the order, and the standard VAT payment.
New Flat Rate Shipping for EU/UK Orders:
Up until now international shipping to the EU & UK has been pre-calculated on site. The rates are accurate, but in my opinion a bit abysmal, costing about $60-$70 CAD per shipment regardless of package size. To manage the many currency rates among EU nations & the UK all rates are calculated in CAD, then converted to your regional currency for order placement. Any order that is $150 CAD or over will now have a flat shipping rate of $40 CAD, orders $400+ CAD will have a $50 CAD Flat Rate. Little Lemur will cover the additional shipping fees so that you can enjoy less expensive rates to receive your sticker orders.
Packages below this value will still use pre-calculated shop rates, as we have often sent orders that cost more to ship than the order value. This setup is in place to encourage larger orders since it is expensive to ship over to the EU/UK & we would like to ensure folks get the most bang for their buck when ordering our products from Canada.
As always, I would encourage folks to place orders with a friend & share the cost of shipping. The website is setup in such a way that custom stickers & panels have multiple design uploads & the price per sticker goes down when ordering in bulk quantities, allowing you to place mixed orders.
